A trademark application is the official document filed with the government office requesting your trademark become registered. All government departments take many months to examine these applications before they provide the results.

When filing an application, we must notify the relevant government office of the "classes'' you are requesting registration in. A class is essentially a category of goods or services. Most countries work on the same class system, which has 45 classes in total. All products and services will fall into one of these classes.

If you have a search conducted prior to registering a trademark we will provide you with our recommendation as to which of these 45 classesare relevant to your products and/or services.
